Product Description

An attractive, low-maintenance boxwood with fine-textured, dense foliage and a small stature making it a good fit for smaller garden areas.  It has good heat and drought tolerance and is also disease and deer resistant.  It’s rounded form makes it a good border shrub and looks great lining walkways.  It can also be used as a mid-ground shrub in mixed beds in front of taller shrubs and behind perennials or annuals.

For planting boxwood we recommend using either Mahoney’s Compost Planting Mix, Fox Farm Planting Mix, or Coast of Maine Penobscot Compost & Peat.

Plant in a location that gets full sun to part shade. Boxwoods do best in well-drained soil. Use of soil ammemdments is recommended. (ie. Happy Frog Soil Conditioner).

Water regularly the 1st year, especially in hot, dry weather. Feed in early spring or fall. We recommend Espoma Plant-tone.

Prune if needed in early spring after frost threat to maintain shape.
