Cityline Vienna naturally grows as a neat, compact mound and is covered with big, mophead blossoms.  Flower color is vibrant pink or deep blue depending on soil pH.  It has strong, sturdy stems and leathery, disease-resistant foliage, and blooms in summer.  It is easy to grow and maintain and does not require pruning due to its low-growing habit.  Use it to add summer color to perennial and shrub borders, as a specimen, or for foundation areas or a low hedge.

For planting hydrangeas we recommend using either Mahoney’s Compost Planting Mix or Fox Farm Planting Mix.
For best flower production, plant in a location that allows for full morning sun with dappled shade in the afternoon. Mulch lightly. Use of soil amemdments is recommended. Water deeply and regularly the 1st year, especially in hot, dry weather. After 1st year fertilize in early spring with Espoma Holly-tone.  Pruning is not usually needed but may be pruned immediately after flowering.
