Vanilla Strawberry has enormous flower heads that are a blend of white and bright pink and are held upright on red stems.  Flowers emerge a creamy-white in mid-summer, then change to pink when the night temperatures begin to drop before finally turning strawberry red.  New blooms emerge as older blooms change color, for a showy, multi-colored effect in late summer and early fall.  This is a great option for a specimen shrub, for adding color to foundation areas, and for cutting gardens.

For planting hydrangeas we recommend using either Mahoney’s Compost Planting Mix
    or Fox Farm Planting Mix.
For best flower production, plant in a location that allows for full morning sun with dappled shade in the afternoon. Mulch lightly. Use of soil amemdments is recommended. Water deeply and regularly the 1st year, especially in hot, dry weather. After 1st year fertilize in early spring with
    Espoma Holly-tone.
Prune in late winter to control overall size and shape.
