This variety produces large, firm, glossy, jet-black fruit with a rich, but mild, sweet flavor. Excellent quality. Canes are upright, sturdy, vigorous, compact, and productive. Self-pollinating. (No pollinator is required however planting with other raspberry varieties can increase crop size.

Plant in full sun for optimal berry production. Water regularly the first year, especially in hot, dry weather.  Raspberries thrive in well-drained, acidic soil. Use of soil amendments and an acidic fertilizer is recommended. Regular spraying to control pests and disease is recommended. (For specific spray applications see product label).
